Mail Policy

As we provide mail services to many of the clients we host on shared, dedicated and colocated servers, it is important that we explain our policy in regard to email services usage. Data-Wireless Inc reserves the right to reject any mail that it feels in its discretion is a risk to its mail server's, network and clients. Please send no Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) or spam to this email Server.

The policy of this Internet Service Provider prohibits the use of any system in our Network from being used to send or cause to be sent any unsolicited commercial email messages.

This mailserver does not accept any email from several sites due to the fact that they are known open relays and sources of known junkmail. The following types of email is also not acceptable to be sent or received by this mailserver and will be rejected:

• Mail from Listservers that constantly send mail and do not clean their lists
• Unsolicited mail to fake mail accounts on our mail servers.
• Gambling solicitations
• Illegal software programs.
• 419 Nigerian Scams
• Unsolicited MLM, work at home program or Business Opportunity
• Headers that contain " Undisclosed Recipients*
• Attachments that contain Viruses and/or malicious code.
• Unsolicited mail from Pornography sites and hate sites
• Mail from "Open Relays
• Falsified headers, false email addresses
• Unsolicited or any unrequested email.
• Email relayed through thirdparty and offshore servers.
• Sites listed in RBL and DUL lists
• Constant Spam from Listservers
• Mailing lists that fail, to provide and adhear to unsubscribe requests.
• Misconfigured mailservers.
• Mailservers that fail to have the correct DNS records.

Our incoming-mail policy can cause your email to be rejected.The major reasons are:

We make use of RBL lists, and our own inhouse lists and have found them to be of value, in reducing unwanted garbage, from braindead individuals with hair brained schemes and scams.

• To reject known unwanted mass email, mail injected from dialup ports and mail injected from unsecure servers.
• Mail sent from Bot infected machines are rejected and blocked.
• Mail is rejected from connecting IP's that do not have the correct reverse.

Check the complete error message to see what caused the rejection. Then go to the corresponding web site and learn how this works and why your mail server is listed. Then do whatever is necessary to fix your server. Please also read RFC 2505 which is a "Best Current practice".
